To be honest, I loved my job, even though I was left to fend for myself on day 3 and was expected to know everything. The downfall was every week there would be more put on me. I had enough to do as it was . Apart from my own work, I was dealing with housing issues which was not in my job role. Pay rise declined, I left. Never felt so undervalued in my life. Big turnover of team leaders due to the really bad pay
Awful place to work , upper management completely clueless , huge concerns ignored or covered up , forced to work overtime constantly but not paid for it , bullied , harassed , not paid correctly , worst company I have ever worked for
Manager (Former Employee) - North West - 22 May 2020
No matter what they tell you, do not trust this company. The area managers lie, they are not experienced. The managers treat their carers badly and then area managers let them. Lots of illegal goings on, CQC need to watch this company.
Supposed to be a healthcare company but don’t look after their staffs health or well being, don’t pay sick pay, Tiny desks (that should really be in an infant school) in a cramped, humid office with no air con - no wonder the staff caught colds and viruses so easily. Poor pay and general staff morale.
Constant pressure from management to fix ancient IT equipment
Avoid avoid avoid.
Many over paid doing nothing all day while others under paid doing all the work. Would be better if the people in charge rewarded those that actually work and know what their doing. Too many people pretending to know what their doingand pretending to work
Badly managed, always asking for more, Too many people pretending to work but dont
Management are not very good. We are expected to do on call. The seniors are paid more than the co ordinaries. Assistant branch managers x 2 sit around saying you have this to do but don’t help. Co ordinators are expected to do on call alternate weekends and change the goal posts whenever they see fit and if we don’t agree we are told it is what it is. The assistant branch managers x 2 are paid a lot ifof a lot of money and do nothing and don’t do oncall. We get paid 1200 pounds a mo month. BETTER OFF BEING A CARER AND YOUR PAID MORE WITH LESS STRESS
Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone shocking care the staff are not trained properly so there was lots of medication errors staff cutting corners not giving proper care staff in the office are rude and unhelpful worst company ever
Senior Management support is lacking. Point and blame culture.
Very poor leadership.
Do not value staff.
No work life balance, expect staff to work 24/7 with no support to management with a blame culture. No one takes responsibility.
Recruitment (Current Employee) - North West - 27 February 2019
C&C is mostly a fantastic company to work for. What it lacks in benefits, is made up in it's people. You get the opportunity to work alongside some of the most caring, pro-active and forward thinking people. Every day I am inspired to learn and develop myself and my role
Trainer (Current Employee) - ISS Healthcare Torfaen - 24 August 2018
I have worked for ISS Healthcare for 10 years and I have never felt more satisfied in the working environment and feel like I have full support if needed. I also really enjoy supporting staff members to enjoy their work building their knowledge in supporting Individuals to be able to live in their own homes. This is the most rewarding job bringing a smile to someone's face and making a big difference to their lives.
I joined City & County a few months ago and I have been really impressed with my journey so far.
I have a fantastic relationship with senior management, my branch manager and care staff.
The culture is very family orientated, there is always someone around for support when you need it.
As a recruiter my role is challenging however I use tools around the business to make sure I am effective with my role.
Supportive office staff, Fantastic career prospects
I have never worked for a company where the management team are so underqualified and inexperienced. My boss who was the registered manager had only ever worked as a senior carer before gaining the position of a registered manager covering 3 large extra care schemes comprising of approx. 100 staff and nearly 200 customers. The company is not aware of it's own policies and procedures and treats it's staff very poorly. It is a company that prefers staff not to know what their contractual rights are and will get rid of staff at the drop of a hat. If you are a yes person, this company is for you. If you are wanting to have job satisfaction, security and career development - then look elsewhere.
Ruthless and unpleasant management. These attitudes filter down to staff so anyone with compassion ad intelligence leaves very quickly. An amalgamation of a large number of companies, they haven't been merged into a coherent whole and so there isn't a feeling of belonging.
