Campaign specialist Emerging Markets (Former Employee) –  Feltham, Greater London5 March 2018
I’ve been working for Cisco nearly 3 years as a contractor/vendor. There is massive difference between being permanent employee (green badge) and contractor one. Being contractor, you are just being a slave. Great company and very robust business process but very toxic people. Very international team which makes your job very interesting but it doesn’t compensate you very low salary. No growth opportunity unless you leave and come back. No learning and development plan. Managers looking just after themselves, no proper direct report management. No job security, high turnover.
Pros
great brand, global recognition - good for your CV
Cons
long hours, low salary, no bonus schema, high annual turn over / lays off, bad management.

Sales and Marketing (Former Employee) –  Feltham24 February 2018
A typical day at work consisted of speaking with several clients who wanted to purchase Cisco's product. The aim was to negotiate and sell to these financially stable companies, businesses or/and individuals. I learnt that communication and being initiative are crucial skills which we need to acquire in order to stand out from other colleagues. The workplace culture was very diverse and welcoming as people from different departments within the firm are there to assist you when you need help. In addition, the firm provides employees with a flexible timetable allowing them to have a choice between working at the office and at home. The company also provides each employee with laptops and phones for the use for work as well as providing financial assistance to workers in relation to healthcare. Cisco stands out from several other companies as they provide employees an opportunity to give back to the community for 5 days such as by helping homeless people or disabled people. In addition to this, Cisco offers 28 days of holiday in a year which is more than what a normal company would provide. These all contribute to a positive and welcoming working environment. The most enjoyable part of the job is communicating with people from different sectors within the firm as well as communicating with external clients.
Pros
Free Lunch, 28 Holidays + 5 days to give back, Laptops, Phones, company cars & flexible working conditions.
Cons
