typical days work was to engage with customer both face to face or via phone, do all daily paper work, check in delivery's and to put up rolls of carpet. I gained a lot of experience rom starting as a assistant manager to becoming a manager. most co-workers where fine, some would try to bring you down. hardest part of job was shift changes at very sort notice and upper management not wanting to help finding store cover when short staffed.
I really enjoyed my time at Carpetright. Friendly management and staff and great training. Constant training and help given. It was enjoyable to learn how to create floor plans and do calculations and conversions. There was always a pressure to sell but it was never extreme. The commission incentives were more than generous. I left due to illness and they were great with me even during sickness. I thoroughly miss my job there.
