i wouldn't recommend caremark
If you have children it will be hard to work as they always ring early morning pressuring you work , other than that staff are very nice and thoughtful and sometimes work like a family

Nice place
The CEO is fantastic and such a lovely man to work for. He actually cares about his staff. I enjoyed my time working for this company. It is a very professional company and everything is done correctly To me it seemed people only left for good reasons not because of the company. Office staff could do with not being so pushy and needy but generally a nice place to work

No support from the company what so ever, clients are lovely the only good thing, an omg don't say no to anything they will have the biggest fit with you. If you can't do something they ask they will drop your hours mess you around there's no communication between office and staff or office and and clients

The best!
Being a carer for a different company in Dunmow I was worried of moving to another company, with maybe the same problems..but NO caremark is a great friendly and CAREING company to work for! Caremark in Great Dunmow truely represents its name! The top care expected for their service users and that's what we give. Full training, constant help and support from the office! I look forward to going to work! Thank you

Sad because this company has potential
I genuinely love my job here but it's just not practical. The team I work with are hands down the best I've ever worked with but it's the company itself. The pay is terrible they tell you its £10.50 an hour when in actual fact it's not that.. its £5.50 for half an hour calls doesnt seem all that bad but when you dont get the hour calls your making peanuts. The money you get for mileage isnt worth it.. 10p per mile. It's sad because clients are lovely. Shame

Enjoyed working here
Brilliant company, very well organised, friendly staff, supportive and understanding. I was sad to leave here, and if they had a branch in Birmingham I would love to work for them again.

Great opportinities
I enjoy working for Caremark.
The office team go above and beyond and make sure you're well looked after and informed.

I work evenings and Caremark make being a working mum very flexible for me.

I enjoy seeing my clients and making sure they are as comfortable as possible and driving around to the houses listening to my own choice of music giving me plenty of independence whilst carrying out my role.

Disappointing
When I went for the interview it sounded a wonderful well paid job, that would be extremely rewarding. But in reality this was not the case. There was no support from management and the training was inadequate in comparison to my previous job.
It was made extremely stressful by not enough driving time between one client and the next one.You would not always be given sufficient time to care for individuals that needed extra support due to their dementia.

The wages definitely wasn’t as good as what was made out at interview and I ended up not having enough money coming in to cover all house hold bills. Due to split shifts at weekends that I was not told about at interview I was seeing lnot spending quality time with my children intact I spent less time with them . My petrol costs rocketed and the fuel allowance didn’t come close to help towards it. It

Avoid at all costs!!!
The service users are lovely but treated poorly and forgotten about by management, who don't answer the phone and don't want to help when you need a shift covering. Office staff are less than useless and the man at the top is a complete waste of space.
Good job security because they're scared you'll quit!

Do not work for this company
I've been in care work for a long time, I chose caremark because they promised better hours since i became a single parent my usual day began at 7am if i was supposed to finish at 2pm it didnt happen they would phone and text usual excuse we are short staffed so by 11pm I would finish my day, I had service users removed for no reason and new ones adding on that didnt know me. Supervisors never turned up when it was a 2 person call or were late and due to the fact that they were not hands on very often could be very rough with the client. I also never recieved my wages in fact I'm still waiting 3 weeks after leaving

Best job i have ever had
I have been a co-ordinator since I joined the branch in 2016. The management of the company are very helpful, approachable and we all work well as a team. The carers are great too. There are opportunities to step up the ladder with different training courses. The management team show a real passion about care. They treat their staff very well.

Fun relaxed and professional
Training is informative and easy to learn with extra support if you need it.
Friendly atmosphere and definitely professional.

Help with any problems you may have like time restrictions due to childcare/school pick ups etc.

Approachable staff on all levels.

Extra hours always available.

Workload manageable.

Paid travel time.

Holiday pay.

Feeling of being part of a team even if you work alone, good back up and communication even if you have just one question.

Encouragement to meet your co-workers which builds up confidence and trust.

Fun workplace
Caremark are a community care company that assist clients in their own home with daily living tasks such as personal care needs. They provide annual training however I do not feel that it prepares new staff for the job they are about to be starting enough. Management are generally good however they are not very accommodating of full time staff when needing time off and when staff are off due to illnesses they are very pushy to have staff back into work. The staff that are out on runs are always lovely and majority of the workers seem to get on very well and enjoy their job.
Pros
good pay, relaxed
Cons
Long hours

Awful company
Worked one day. New to care so had shadowing first day which was good. Then was given my runs of 12-15 hour days no breaks but with zero training. Expecting me supply quality care alone with not an ounce of training.

Told them didnt want that job
