I've just been working four months in this company delivering cylinders, just tell you to look after your arms. Times to work Monday to Friday 8am to 17pm.
Please stay away from this company I’ve worked for some fuel companies before and this is the worst of them all .
When you talk about health and safety they say it’s is paramount to them but send you out in 2 foot of snow .
There’s a saying customers are first priority but you look after your employees and they look after your customers
Pros
Security
Cons
Muppets all over the top end of the company
They encourage you to work and think within a safe environment. Good place to work hours can be long to get the deliveries done but it’s swings and roundabouts
As a driver I covered large areas and worked from different locations when required, personally I enjoyed this part of the job, and had a good working relationship with many of the drivers and the sales team
Worked at 4 depots and really enjoyed the work but when you rock the boat they stab you in the back.
Reported a manager for bullying, I got moved to another job by the agency then dumped. The manager was fired about a year later for bullying a female staff member.
Report dangerous practices and left because of no interest from company.
Now calor won't touch me.
Health and Safety, yea but only when it's convenient.
Pros
Good heavy physical work
Cons
Bad company to work for, will not support you.
They don't really appreciate anything you do for them, theirs is a get out and deliver your load at all costs.
The transport supervisor was rarely on site and this led to you having to supply your own PPE!!.
The worst part is not having any point of contact for drivers when problems occur, the best part was the strong bond the drivers had.
Pros
Not bad money on agency
Cons
No review on access of vehicles to properties, lousy route planning
I was responsible for starting up the plant and keeping a steady flow of LPG gas into the gas plant, keeping the site up to health and safety standards, loading and unloading vehicles with LPG gas, maintaining and filling LPG gas cylinders, driving the forklift trucks, keeping records of stock movement inputting the data into the computer system, training new employees and delivering to customers throughout Scotland.
