I enjoyed my time at CAE. While there were many challenges that needed redressing, it's focus on it's people, products and training was never in question. Having risen through the ranks, survived acquisitions, I'm grateful for the experience it's left imprinted on me. I have learned what it takes to work in a global corporation and how to work in a virtual team environment.

CAE was once known as one of the best within the aviation industry. The times have very much changed.

Poor place to work with even poorer job security. Redundancy’s last year were exceptionally high, a lot of people lost their jobs, including senior management. Money is spent in the wrong ways, the buildings falling apart but management still get treated well.


Management are very cliquey and can treat their employees very poorly.


They need to remember the aviation industry is very very small and word travels fast about how they treat their staff.

Work shifts 0600-1430 and 1430-2230
work is adhoc as it depends on the serviceability of the simulator.

Management are cool. Nice and relaxed

I have learned loads about the simulator. Each day is different as you hardly get the same problem twice, so variety is good.
