Under paid, over worked, No work life balance as a receptionist. Expected to answer phone , not put calls on hold, dispense medication, clean consult rooms, reception areas as well as booking clients in and out, taking payments , cashing up.at end of day and sometimes being responsible for locking up practice at end of day.
As well as all the above - more... as a receptionist ( job title should be "dogs body " ) you are expected to assist the vet with pts. Blood drawing and many other "nurse " jobs.
Sometimes don't get a break because there is no one to take over on desk.
All this for national livin ... - less
ProsSome lovely work colleagues, clients and animsls
ConsLong hours, rubbish pay.
