Security, pay, sick pay, leave all pros. Poor junior management.

Too Much time is wasted completing pointless administrative items to enable managers to 'measure' performance. Performance is then used to compare individuals, punishing 'poor performers' with improvement plans. Thereby rewarding bad behaviour (taking shortcuts, ignoring pending problems), and penalising good behaviour, i.e. reporting, escalating and - more ... dealing with issues, which takes time. Job security, pay, sick, leave, all ok. - less
