Great place to work
I've been working at Broxap for 6 years now and there's never been a dull moment. There's plenty of opportunity to excel and with 5 different Divisions where you start may not necessarily be where you'll be in a year. Salaries are good and the Managers and Owners are all very approachable. If you want to succeed then you'll do well.

AVOID ! Run by clewless bullys
This company used to be a great place to work for family run focused on quality and looking after the staff, however as time has gone on it seems greed has taken hold and they would rather sacrifice quality through the factory just to make a few more pounds they even sacrifice the safety of staff by avoiding the purchase of ppe for as long as they can and opting for the cheapest option out there, to aid the greatness of the company all the bullies and yes men have been promoted to management to suit broxaps new "our way or the high way" running methods, the biggest joke is the rates of pay that are now being offered to newer employees some of the rates I've heard are plain disgusting, in summary anyone who's reading this would be better off avoiding employment at broxap and telling anyone else the same.
Pros
All the lads are in the same boat and equally unhappy
Cons
Want the world from you for zero give back

Great bunch of lads.
Broxap is ruined by the management team. It is managed by people who have little or no fabrication or welding experience. The only way to advance here is to simply become a "yes man". The owners are somewhat Victorian in their work ethic. They rule with an iron fist and are very unpredictable. The positive side to this company are the lads who work there. I made some lifelong friends during my time at Broxap, they are a great bunch of blokes, always willing to help and the banter is first class. Shame it's ruined by the bullying egomaniacs that supervise, manage and own the company.
Pros
Great bunch of lads
Cons
Poorly managed

Depends what department they put you in
If they put you in production based work prepare for a boring life, all jig work and very repetitive 300+ parts to make from simple bike stands to cloakroom items. If you do more than someone else you will be on that job for good and it gets very boring fast, near impossible to get put on something else if you do it won't be for more a day and back to boring work, hard to get on the structural side because everyone else are fighting to get on there because their jobs are boring too, otherwise if you can turn off and just put up with doing one product forever it's a easy job, beware theyll tell you you'll be on something different but it won't last long. Management are alright apart from the production managers who've never had a welding job before and only care about numbers, the higher management where good the downfall is the production managers and foremen who don't look after the staff well
Pros
Good wages and hours
Cons
Mind numbing work

productive workplace
hours ranged from 4am to 6pm every day. Travelled around the country, sometimes abroad installing sports equiptment in schools, colleges, acadamys and major sports venues i.e wimbledon tennis and various rugby and football clubs. worked in gangs, normally 2 per gang, sometimes paired up with another gang. started as a number 2 engineer and worked up to number 1 engineer resulting in me being gang leader. The hardest part of the job was being away 5 days a week. The most enjoyable part of the job was the satisfaction gained from the work itself.
Pros
company vehicle, free lunches, free hotels
Cons
long hours away from home 5 days a week
