An extremely lovely place to work. Not only are the staff collaborative and helpful but they are very friendly and make working there fun for everyone.

Horrible management
The management: oversensitive people who are happy to pay themselves a lot while treating those who are in daily contact with students appallingly. They've even asked teachers to go on the social media site to praise the 'achievements' of students and management. Full-time teachers get the equivalent of £13/hr

Positive atmosphere due to nature of the industry - education
Good environment but not particularly dynamic overall.
The most difficult part of the job was keeping all the staff happy when the various departments are quite unrelated - sales, marketing vs teaching and building maintenance.

I loved meeting clients (students & agents) but ultimately the pressures from on high were overbearing and unrealistic.

Friendly and encouraging team!
The marketing team at British Study Centres are a fun and creative bunch who love to encourage new ideas.

A typical day involves content planning, creating email campaigns & writing blogs and social media posts. The team is hardworking but actually very flexible when it comes to work/ life balance.

The role also requires some travel, which may not be for everyone, but means that this role is so much more than your average office job.

Very supportive workplace and encourages creativity
This was one of my best jobs. The workplace was so encouraging and the staff were amazing. I felt supported in my job and also that I could have the freedom to do what I wanted in the classroom.

Productive and fun workplace
A typical day at work would include helping the students, contacting and booking venues, organising and promoting the events and working hand in hand with the operations manager and the accommodation office. Everyone from the staff has always been helpful and lovely to work with, making the day to day very enjoyable.

The best part of the job was to be able to be supportive of the students and help them with anything that I could. Being surrounded by students from all over the world I got to learn from different cultures which helped me to have a wider view of the world. I find it very difficult to find any cons as working for BSC I had the opportunity to gain experience within the workplace in this country and it has all been priceless.

Exciting and occasionally stressful workplace
The long strenuous hours taught good time management, and the weekly teaching workshops were enjoyable and useful. The on-site management were highly accessible and professional, whereas the off-site senior management were somewhat elusive. There was a wonderful, eclectic mix of colleagues who made the long hours easier to support and the free time more fun to enjoy. The most enjoyable aspect of the job was the interaction with the international students and the energy they brought to their activities.
Pros
Fun "relaxed" atmosphere
Cons
Long hours
