Some store managers excellent some were awful... the company had no idea on what they were doing and ended up treating everyone like nothing. Only ever cared about results and no individual acknowledgement would be given... it used to be but then it changed with the change of management. if they don’t like you, they will force you out and keep their favourites that suck up to them.
Good store management and was good regional management at one point

I always enjoyed going to work as the people made the place a great place to work, higher management we're very supportive and helped people progress into better more rewarding roles

A typical day at work involves checking vehicle, planning my route, delivering and installing white goods TVs sofas furniture and high value goods ,I learned how to do electrical test on how to install cookers, and how to install tvs also how to build flat packed furniture, the management was great always training us on safety and looking after any needs we had,the hardest part of the job was taking sofas up into flats
Dealing with customers on a day to day basis whether it be in store or over the phone. Taking payments via cash or card in store, Over the phone payments. Going through customer agreements with customers for new purchases following the FCA guidelines. Help and advice my colleagues using the training given to myself withing my role as a senior sales advisor, Motivating and engaging to help meet the store sales targets. Booking repairs with the service center. Opening and closing of the store. Completing any tasks my manager asks. Throughout my 4 years working with bright house i have attended many courses and completed in house training to help me progress to Senior sales advisor position. Every day is different with Bright house, From being challenging at times whether it be with stock issues, Repair issues or just difficult times of the year ie Summer holidays, Easter when the store itself can be quiet. Working along my colleagues and having such a good re pore with customers helps with the day to day work environment.
Our dept was good, however there were lots of useless meetings with other departments (H&S managers, risk assessments, business contiunity). It drives anyone mad.
