L’oreal Consultant Interview
- lots of “can you name a time when...” questions eg name a time you worked well under time pressure
-take you out to the shop floor and ask you to interact with customers, ask them if they need help with anything, when i had mine it was 10am on a weekday so there was hardly any customers so we kinda skipped that bit
-they asked you to pick a product and explain to them as if they were a customer why you like it, what it does etc
-they said to pick a section in the store e.g makeup. and explain if you had 5 minutes what you would do to improve and if you had more time what else would you do to help customer and business
Does Boots UK require pre-employment background checks? What kind of background check does Boots UK do and how long does it take to complete?
I applied online then did an assessment similar to M&S. Then if you pass that you are invited to an interview. My interview was easy as Boots were desperate for Christmas staff so they didn't want to put applicants off. I was then taken on the shop floor to interact with customers which was the easy part for me as I love excellent customer service. The asst manager watches you while hiding behind stands. I was offered the job on the spot but looking back wish I'd declined the offer as hated working for Boots. A thankless job!!
Basically you spend an hour doing some stupid questionnaire, you waste your time and at the end they send you an email saying you’re not successful and give it 12 months before you apply again so you can get to know yourself better... So out of all this, DON’T waste your time, filling up their questionnaire for nothing as to get the job, you need to know someone from the people who work there and to recommend you to the poor management.
