difficult company to work with
I only looked upon working for the company as a job and nothing more. What kept me there was the staff which I worked alongside. As the unit where I worked were reducing their staff when members of our staff left they were seldom replaced because the company was not willing to hire new members. But the remaining staff still had to do all the same work as before but with less people to do it so every member of staff had their work load doubled but still expected it to get done in the same amount of time
Pros
free lunches, good holiday entitlement
Cons
lots of work not enough staff

Okay I guess..
Having worked for Baxterstorey for nearly 4 years, I never felt valued as employee. Manager on site was useless- kept mucking up the payroll or losing valuable documents.

Proceedures were never followed leading to accidents and in some cases near food poisoning but more often that not never happened as some staff put their foot down and suggested that it would be better if proceedures were followed.

Management never trusted the staff and there was a very high staff turnover.

Baxterstorey only employ people with no experience so they can pay them the minimum wage but at the same time expect the staff to have a really good knowledge of what their job might entail.

I worked at one site that was just fantastic but these sites are hard to come by and it depends on how good the manager is- some sites the managers only care about themselves.
Pros
Free Lunches, day time hours, good salary
Cons
Bad Management, poor work ethos

Work for free
Worked in the kitchen single handed with very little help from the management, expected to work overtime for no money sometimes an extra 20 hours a week . When challenged I was told it's expected of you so get on with it
Manager to busy shopping or standing in the kitchen cooking her lunch during service to care
Pros
Straight shifts
Cons
Unpaid overtime
