Initially loved working here but unfortunately a high staff tirn over made short staffing an issue and this lead to having to work extra shifts and it becoming a lot harder work. But this job gave me a lot of experience amd training.

worker (Former Employee) – Fochabers – 26 October 2016
Very autocratic management at work level with senior management not seeming to have a clue what is happening or what their demands actually mean to the work force. Plenty of overtime which you will be expected to work whether want to or not due to peer pressure. Low moral as undergoing a 2 year review with no-one knowing who's jobs is safe and whether still be employed in the future.
Stores Person (Former Employee) – Fochabers – 11 October 2016
Very out dated way of hiring and operating. Management consists of family and friends.. supervisors and management have you doing jobs your not qualified to do and well above your pay grade. Health and safety is virtually non existent and production are continuesly bending the rules and pushing the boundaries of health and safety to have outdated lines pushed to their limits. Company prides itself in quantity not quality.
Extremely low rates of pay. Been there for almost ten years and only had 3 pay rises which consisted of an extra 17p and hour.. less than 2.5%.
Supervisor (Former Employee) – Moray – 15 July 2016
Typical day at work is driving staff and line performance. Making sure product is made right first time and that there are no quarantines on line. CCP's are done in a timely manner and all paperwork is accurate and correct. Liase with my staff, fellow Supervisors and Managers. Filling in paperwork and writing shift report at the end of the day with all the batches/yields and cases produced.
PRODUCTION MANAGER (Former Employee) – Fochabers, SCT – 2 February 2016
Very autocratic style of management it becomes very apparent not long after you have joined the company that the culture is very old fashioned and out dated you feel a bit conned by the way they get you to join the company lot of false promises.

I was still not that long from school when i joined baxters. A typical day would see you go the locker room and put on your overalls, hairnet and wellies. You would then swipe in to start work and assemble at your assigned food line to start the day. It was a very long day as you would just stare at hundreds of carrots coming down a line all day and it was mind numbing. The management would have a laugh with you so the day wouldnt drag sometimes but it wouls still be a long day.
