Debit card service advisor (Former Employee) –  Coventry16 January 2018
Telephony based role, providing excellent customer service to Barclays customers calling regarding Debit Card issues and queries.

I found it very satisfying investigating and solving customers issues or complaints at first point resolution where possible.

The work is driven by high standards to reach goals and reduce service level and to give the customer the best level of care.

I enjoyed working with the staff and colleagues. They made going to work fun.

Everyday is different
Moment Banker (Current Employee) –  Bromley, Kent17 October 2017
Everyday is different.
Busy or Slow there is always something to do.
The most enjoyable part of the role is learning new things, when you think that's it there is always more to it, also being able to help customers financially and making that huge difference.
The hardest part of the role would be how to approach and adapt yourself to dealing with aggressive customers, but its always a challenge and I take on learns from each customers, to change it for the next customer.
Pros
the benefits that are given
Cons
Working saturdays

Challenging yet productive and caring environment.
Mortgage Underwriter (Current Employee) –  Millshaw Court Leeds17 October 2017
A good and challenging place to work. Barclays has care for its employees both personally and in their career choices and actively seeks to provide opportunity in and out of the work place. They are a very community oriented business and keen supporters of young people and their lives in a work environment. Good facilities and perks for all staff and equal opportunities throughout all levels of the business.
I have found them very supportive as an employer both in the workplace and for my personal well being as they are with all staff.
Pros
Good insurance and medical benefits and good work related perks.
Cons
Can be very pressured at times with work volumes.

decision maker (Current Employee) –  Thornaby on Tees, North Yorkshire24 September 2017
Office work environment is relaxed and fun. Management and staff are helpful and friendly. Every day is different and the job at times can be challenging. There is a big focus on productive and quality but as long as you complete you task at hand you will be fine.
It is good pay and benefits for a permanent member of staff, but for Temp staff such as myself the bigger pay packet does make up for the lack of job security.
Pros
£11 per hour for temp staff
Cons
3-10:30 work hours

Senior Collections Agent (Current Employee) –  Manchester Central18 September 2017
I would walk into the building and sign in ready to speak to customers to help them with there difficulties. doing account summaries on there current account and loan information. completing full income and expenditures then advising the customer of there different options and what they think would be best as well as giving them advice of the pros and cons. we would have to stick to a structure to complete the job to its highest standard as are calls are marked by quality assurance.
Pros
good benefits
Cons
Breaks are monitored - not long enough

Good but not great
Decision Maker (Current Employee) –  Teesside, North Yorkshire11 September 2017
Not great but not bad. Very frustrating place to work, could be so much better. Salary within my role is less than others who do the exact same level of complaints. Makes you feel undervalued and used. Having said that it has a great bonus structure that if you're good at what you do you can really benefit from. Difficult to move up although they get you to do so much more work above your pay grade and pass it off as development
