Awful management.
Customer Service Assistant (Current Employee) –  Brampton2 May 2019
Managers and BP in general DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. I've been bullied and harassed and nothing got done. A young girl was sexually harassed here and they turned a blind eye. You'd do best not to work here.

Everything they tell you in the interview be ready for 10x more work which they don't tell you about but expect you to do.
Pros
½ off lunch up to £6
Cons
Management, hours/shifts/work load

Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Hornchurch, Greater London15 December 2017
I was working in a Wild bean M&S BP, it was 3 businesses in one place but it was too much work for 2 or 3 people working in one shift. We had to do cafe work, supermarket work as well as the fuel side and I think there weren't enough staff to get everything done to a standard they wanted. The customers were fantastic, most staff were nice but some were very rude. The cleaning standards were high like a 5 star hotel . This job will suit someone who doesn't mind working different shifts and likes keeping busy all the time at a fast pace. The night pay is only 50p/ hour more than day rate and it messes up your body clock. It takes a couple of days to recover from a night shift. 50% off lunch is only valid to a certain amount and you can't take it home! If you want to take food home you only get 15% off.
Pros
Half price lunch, paid break, plenty of overtime
Cons
Night shifts, on your feet all the time, rude staff

Serving customers on tills is necessary. Other duties include merchandising, cleaning and general upkeep of warehouse and stock areas preventing slips and trips.

Management are kind and fair. Least enjoyable aspect is the irregular work pattern.
Pros
50% discount on lunch. Convenient location. Competitive Wage.
Cons
Irregular work pattern. Serving on tills.

A Pretty Decent Place to Work
Customer service assistant (Former Employee) –  Westcliff2 November 2017
The managers at BP are Firm but Friendly, they are happy to help and train you and provide plenty of support where needed.
They allways make sure you are taking your breaks and are comfertable.

There is alot to take in to begin with and a lengthy training process in the begining but once you get passed that it all becomes second nature.

The hours arent allways good and you can be expected at times to do alot of back to back shifts but they allways try to be fair when putting rotas together and the pay is good.
Pros
15% store discount and 50% off lunch
Cons
night shifts and late nights can be exhusting

I wouldn't advise anyone with a short temper to work at BP. A lot of the members of staffed are poorly trained and extremely lazy with the management lacking in any skills to control and maintain and good day to day business.
