CM&ER + Operations HSSE Team Leader (Former Employee) –  Luanda20 July 2019
BP is an amazing place to work for and every employee who works for BP should feel accomplished and proud to make part of BP family. That is a place where people learn every single day, now matter who you are. There is no separation of colour, religion, race, gender and what so ever.

The communication from the leadership is very open from the top level to bottom line.

Flexible

A very good workplace
Materials Team Leader (Former Employee) –  Luanda, Angola26 January 2019
BP turned me into a strong and solid professional. BP is an international oil and gas company with a worldwide reputation which once was spoiled in the US back in 2010 after the incident of Makondo, Golf of Mexico. An incident that cost BP nearly USD 20 billions. But with commitment an effort of all the employees from CEO to the lowest employee, BP was able to rebuild trust and strive to this day.
Pros
Very good workplace
Cons
big salary gap between national and expats.

Safe, Reliable and Compliant. A very healthy place to work
BP Subsea Execution Project Engineer (Former Employee) –  Luanda, Angola17 March 2017
I have enjoyed working for BP. It has been a very good experience, during all 6 years that I have spent in the company. Many different challenges over the years, but the excitement has been there helping to overcome the challenges. Thankfully, BP Management has appreciated that the company can only be as good as the employees integrating it. And based on that, trust and empowerment of the employees has been boosted. I see BP as a Company that rebuilds itself overtime, through Continues Improvement on Safety and compliance; and development of personnel as well as trust on employees. It is a place where people treat each other with respected and maturity. A very good place to work, indeed.
Pros
Very safety and compliance based company
Cons
It takes time, patience and proactivity to be Safety and compliance minded

A great company with clear vision and strategy for growth and future. I have matured, learned and grown both at personal and professional level through coach and mentoring from some of the best people in the Oil and Gas industry. BP is a company with great and rich culture, strong values such as "courage, respect, excellence and safety" where people are treated equally regardless of colour, gender and religion. The Respect and Safety do resonate with me and display them on a daily basis in the workplace and outside.

I always look forward to the next day at work, enjoy engaging with business key stakeholders and members of Functional Leadership Teams to capture new demand/issues/concerns understand issues and agree action plan to address such issues.
