Customer Service Assistant (Former Employee) – Market Harborough – 3 June 2018
Great place to work most of the time. Busy and hard work so don't apply if you want to doss around. Great place if ypur on shift with the right people, area manager not great never said anything positive, never intereacted with team members. Overall i have worked for much worse places, they certainly could offer better benefits for staff including better lunch allowance and discounts.
Cold condition working in store, Management very 1 sided, don't listen to colleges, a lot of swearing on shop floor, management wasn't fair to staff, and working for too long a period of time whilst being on a 8 hour shift
Customer Service Assistant (Current Employee) – York, North Yorkshire – 19 March 2018
This is a good company to work for. I work night shifts so from 10pm until 6am. My job role is to complete various tasks in a safe environment while serving customers. Some tasking involved are sales and waste, bakery, working the shop floor, authorising fuel and serving customers.
customer service assistant (Former Employee) – Airdrie dukes connect – 8 March 2018
great company to work for, good training, proper management, extra hours can be picked up but no hassle if you cant. good pension and share options when i worked there, dont know if thats still the case. decent shifts, know exactly was is expected of you at what time due to the job board. everyone treats you as part of a team, and makes sure you get proper breaks etc could be seen as being a bit repetitive, but i liked that. good chance and support to further your career, my manager encouraged you to train further. slightly above nmw at the time and had nightshift rate added
Customer Service Assistant (Current Employee) – Rowley mile, newmarket – 2 March 2018
I found out that working nights was OK but now its just too hard, this is because there's never any staff and I'm almost always on night pay, not bad but when you consider the day staff is fully staffed with at least 4 staff you'd think they'd at least cook some stuff for you to help but they don't because theyre really selfish and whenever I come on shift most of them are just staring into space, easy shift for them, but a nightmare for you as you have the sole responsibility placed on your shoulders to cook everything and serve all customers at the window, this ain't some village petrol station its the a14, really busy and completely unfair.
Pension, 50% off meal food up to £6, high rate of pay
Worked in a few cofo bps and depending on the manager depends on how well i would rate it. Some are fair and help yet most are lazy and backstabbing. Pay is decent and there is good progression. Wouldn't judge all bps with the same attitude as it really does come down to who store manager is.
Poor management.. staff turn over was crazy and still is! Regularly worked lone shifts 8 hours stood still on a till. Breaks where often cut short. Signed off for health reasons management where not helpful in returning to work when recovering. Manger often watched cctv to find anyway to fire staff. Management pick on weaker staff and use their weakness against them to push them out the business. Area manager no better! If you want to get treated and spoken to like a piece of dog mess this is the job for you!
Would not recommend and would never work here again. Absolutely no work-life balance, shockingly-poor management and the staff have to people skills whatsoever. Gave me bad depression working here and had to be signed off work for months before finally leaving
Store Manager (Former Employee) – Lewes, East Sussex – 9 August 2017
Shift work, usually 8-10 hours. You would be involved with orders, deliveries, training, office paperwork, customers and tills, Wild Bean Cafe. You would be responsible for audits, HSSE, HR issues and rotas, external reps. I enjoyed all aspects, the hardest part was the extensive paperwork, the most enjoyable was the people and team spirit.
