Two week residential training. If you don’t pass certain parts you have to leave. Third week doing job with mentor- again can be told to leave if not performing well enough. Then doing job but all cases audited. Have to get 5 A passes in a row to get certified. Fairly good support but in office till well after 7 every night trying to finish reports. Management not interested in that- only quality of reports. Worked from home after 4 months but again working many more hours than getting paid for. Sent all over the place but manager not interested. Felt so stressed that I left after 6 months. What a relief!

They are racist

They set you up to fail

Don’t bother they never give enough work but then they blame you for not doing anything

The managers also bully and gossip

Management are all over the place, had so many issues caused by them and the company as a whole. Really struggled working here for the 4 months I kept the job. Honestly, not a nice place to work at all.

As a medical centre admin I was responsible for EVERYTHING.
Constant overbooking, unrealistic targets, living furthest away from the office I was a key holder, lone working at times, no security guard, usually just women working together.


I had to leave due to my mental health. Took me over 12 months to be able to function again.

Expecting too much of staff, constant pushing to assess more clients.
Impossible targets and the need for you to work way beyond 9 to 5 promised to complete assessments with constant IT issues which were rarely resolved.

Bullying punitive approach if targets not fulfilled, non healthcare line managers who were clueless about NMC guidelines etc.

Was happy hear I just found late shifts were stressful aspecially when transports were late or on strike..was a good friendly place to work management were all good respecable people who looked after its workers.

Office based or work from home. Work loads are consistent and can be heavy. Emphasis and plenty of training on getting it right the first time. Plenty of support.

Decent enough company hindered by petty cost cutting policies and procedures (travel restrictions, training, reducing all employee bonus payouts at any given opportunity, often due to Failure of other teams/departments). As long as you go in without expecting any kind of annual pay rise (they are typically every 5-6 years I was told) Then you will be fine. Work isn’t too demanding or stressful compared to

A stressful work environment dealing with vulnerable people who are stressed by assessment, not helped when you have to overbook & not allowed to cancel appointments prior to the claimant arriving when not enough healthcare professionals to carry out the number of assessments. You expect abuse from claimants but not management or on site co workers, overall a culture of bullying, harassment, intimidation, not what you would expect from registered healthcare professional, I therefore do not recommend working for this company

Management at Atos is awful and the culture is rapidly transforming to one of bullying and emotional manipulation.

The building in Crewe should be condemned as it is unfit as a workplace, clearly this is the fault of the landlord but Atos dont care and make no effort to improve it or move to better facilities, the building used to be full but now only Atos remain and continue to penny pinch to please share holders. Every other company in the building had the good sense to move out years ago and now only Atos remain.

Lacks real planning with complete dependence on offshore resources. UK resources are an endangered species. Will do anything to win business and underdeliver when in service.

Every day is the same. Assess, write up, repeat.

Very little opportunity for promotion or indeed, to do anything other than assess. Opportunity to do something different largely dependent on where you live.


Long drives on home consultations. This isn’t the end of the world as mileage is generous but it is certainly stressful.

A good place to work. Not much in terms of promotion.
We support eachother and also socialize together. Friday is dressdown so relaxed. We always bring in cakes etc for eachother

ATOS based in Preston have very immature management. They will not take responsibility for causing work related stress and enjoy bulling their colleagues by many different types of assault. I started when it first opened and seen many different problems. Most of the management were inexperienced and young but because they were desperate for staff, they hired them anyway. It is like a high school full of jealous bullies. You will not get anywhere unless you pretend to be part of the bullies or are family/friends outside of work. The ‘clique’ would work together to find any excuse to fire someone they don’t like. Management will inappropriately touch or use language to women which they will find funny. Confidentiality is definitely not something they stand by. You cannot trust your management. Management lie to customers if they can’t be bothered to deal with them making the work load and stress heavier on you. They do not care for their customers or colleagues. You may also get the chance to take on other roles and responsibilities that they will not raise your wages for.
