Poor senior management
Purchasing Manager (Former Employee) –  Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire8 January 2020
Poor senior management and HR, too busy looking at their retirement pension with little knowledge of daily operational activities, your initial probationary period could extend to over 12 months due to senior management restructuring

Planner (Former Employee) –  Abingdon-on-Thames, Oxfordshire3 September 2019
Atlas Copco had issues with their admin system while I worked for them as a temp. The migration of data from a previous system was corrupted and therefore severely slowed the new system processing capabilities and made the work long winded and tedious.
In general it was a good place to work
Pros
Free tea and coffee
Cons
admin systems

Decent Company
Internal Sales Engineer (Former Employee) –  Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire13 May 2019
Working in the internal sales team you dont have much control over how your figure work but the ethic is good and the people around are decent.

Management dont really get involved its more of a manage yourself kinda company.

Cultre and Atlas is very good that have good work ethic and are not afraid to spend money to make it a pleasent work place.

Realistically its who you know that will advance you at this company.

Very focused company - rewarding dedication
AIRnet Sales Engineer (Former Employee) –  United Kingdom2 October 2018
My role at Atlas was to promote the AIRnet system by contacting specifiers such as consultants, contractors and endusers. Leads could come from online or direct enquiries. On occasions projects were handled in house which meant that systems had to be sized and designed; and then possibly project managed. On occasions drawings had to be used to compile quotations. Awareness of the competition and legislation is vital in order to win and gain credibility.
Working closely with colleagues in other divisions proved fruitful.
Sometimes once an enquiry had reached a point of fruition it would be passed across to a distributor for quoting purposes.Distributors were specifically trained on the product to ensure they were upto date with any developments in the system range.
The AIRnet system is not the primary market force so perhaps it did not get the recognition and covering the UK became a challenge as the presence of the product grew.
However as with most major global companies there is a wealth of experience available to help in other areas of compressed air and vacuum systems.
Pros
Working with friendly professional colleagues.
Cons
Covering the UK.

Administrator (Former Employee) –  Hemel Hempstead17 March 2017
The average day of work is rather fast pace and needs lots of concentration to get the work load done properly to a high professional standard. There is always certainly something to do for once you have finished one particular job or task.

Regular visits to customers, finding new potential customers.
Collect market information and monitoring on the market price of a similar technique.
I learned how calculate the prices (ExWorks,CIP,DDP and etc.). The hardest part of job maybe visiting customers and find their approach to each client, I think it is a good experience for me.
Pros
good collective

Mechanical Draughtsman (Former Employee) –  Hemel Hempstead, ENG13 January 2016
A typical day a work depended on where you were in the project.
The projects I worked on you saw through from the beginning to completion. While engaging in the project close interaction with the shop floor and the project engineering department was required and problem solving was the main key to a successful conclusion.
The problem solving was the most enjoyable part of the job.
Management had a hands of approach unless really necessary.
Pros
Free hot drinks and fruit.
Cons
No benefits as I was a contractor.
