Toast to the lessons not yet learned and to the trials that will teach them. When you shudder thinking about your next shift, it is time to throw in the towel. I have worked here a while and I am not content nor am I impressed with the point scoring 'teachers pets' who wag their tails and bark to the management at any given time. I find individuals as such, talentless who ought to be brought down a peg or two - perhaps three!
Some staff members are kind, others are vindictive. If your face doesn't fit, you are excluded from the gang. That said, there are plenty of work places that operate in entirely the same manner, but that does not mean it is acceptable.
Have you ever felt bullied or isolated working in a place that apparently prides itself on teamwork? The feeling is unpleasant.
On the upside, I enjoy supporting people and caring for them.
Do I dread going in to work? Absolutely and that isn't down to the patients by the way.
The management it has to be said have turned the place around and their 'favourites' are only 'favourites because their 'favourites' are information feeders, not because they excel in what they are employed to do.
