You’ll usually be limited to only the infantry or possibly a trade, depending on the record.
Serious offences will definitely limit you only to the infantry, that is if they decide to take you.

You can apply at 15 years and 7 months, if you are that age. Then you do your basic training at AFC Harrogate for 49 weeks before going to either Catterick or Pirbright. If you are within the Infantry, such as Paratroopers, Guardsman, SAS Reserve or just Infantry, you will go to Catterick, but if you want to do anything else, then its Pirbright or Winchester.
The Age you arent allowed to apply is 33, you can still serve but you must have joined the army by your 33th Birthday.
