Exciting
Intern (Former Employee) –  Manchester20 January 2019
I undertook a two week work placement.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and felt as though the workplace would offer many opportunities.
However it was not long enough to gauge.

A company built by management consultants - talk a lot of fluff and struggle to deliver
Anom (Current Employee) –  UK24 July 2018
If this company is to go anywhere or be anything when it grows up, the leaders need to get their act together, stop promoting friends, look out for the best talent, quit the isolation tactics, and realise there are bigger and better companies out there that will take your staff, who continue to move onto to this day. An oddly over-confident demeanour. Some very capable Executives, some not so and wonder how those ones got to where they did?
Pros
trying to be global and some great concepts for the future
Cons
Lack of collaboration and not people orientated

One of the best companies I have worked for
Associate (Current Employee) –  London, Greater London18 February 2018
They run various staff engagement programmes such as Quest that allow you to go abroad for a week etc. The work life balance is great; you can work from home; there is a lot of flexibility. In London office, there is a free bar every Wed and Thu 4-7pm; management take turns to serve the beers. They work on high profile projects. For me personally, it is everything that I wanted when I joined. The senior leadership team do not throw their titles around unlike some organisations where directors expected to be bowed down to.
Pros
Flexibility, staff mobility, great perks, and good leadership
Cons
IT a bit outdated - laptops chunky / not touchscreen and desktop monitors small

Nice people, pleasant environment,
IT Asset Rep (Current Employee) –  King's Cross St. Pancras Station19 November 2017
A good company to work with. Enjoying my time here however originally started on a 6 month contract with a view of a permanent position after this. It got extended for another 6 months in July. Now it looks like another 6 month contract and I am looking for a permanent position and advance in my job role.

Great people, nice environment, Arcadis is a very diverse and inclusive organisation. Nearly everyone treats each other with a level of respect and integrity, which is one of Arcadis' core values.

Good Company but hard to change department
Principal Engineer (Current Employee) –  Bristol, Bristol31 October 2017
It is very hard to move internally including sideways to other departments. Likewise work may be sluggish in one department having staff twiddle their thumbs rather than get work from departments which have more work than they can handle. Great company but depends a lot on which team you are in.
Pros
Good salary and benefits
Cons
Lack of work in some departments

Good starting opportunity but don't stick around too long
do not wish to say (Current Employee) –  London3 September 2017
Good as a foot in the door, but too disorganised to stay for long unless you want to be one of the disorganised leaders. Not much link between results and rewards.

Poor management and lack of support
Consultant (Former Employee) –  London, Greater London4 July 2017
Long hours expected despite not opting out of 40 hrs/week. Job was very sales oriented. Lots of superfluous internal paperwork where the same thing had to be replicated in three different formats.

Management were not focussed and certainly not supportive. Led to several embarrassing situations where I turned up for a job with no specification, had no idea what to invoice and had to fend for myself.
Pros
Salary was reasonable

Driven and fast paced
Programme Manager (Former Employee) –  London, Greater London19 June 2017
Extremely ethical strong company, very driven and fast paced working culture, so work life balance can be difficult to maintain. However interesting work and well rewarded. So for dedicated career people and younger people a great place to be. Very interesting and broad mix of roles and clients. On the whole a great place to be to drive a fulfilling career
However, if family balance is more important this may not be the right place for you as the hours can be long and the nature of the work means a lot of dedication is required.
Pros
Good Benefits package, good advancement prospects
Cons
Long hours, demanding culture

Relaxed, enjoyable work environment
Assistant Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Warrington, UK26 April 2017
Really good company to work for with a relaxed work environment and lots of benefits. Good work life balance. Offices are quite modern and open which makes coming to work more enjoyable. They provide training for everyone and also have regular meetings to make you aware of whats going on throughout the company in relation to new policies and project successes/lessons learned.

Welcoming professional place to work
L&D COORDINATOR (Current Employee) –  London Borough of Croydon27 October 2016
working in the HR team there's a lot of correspondence between other members of staff and managers.
On a daily basis I check my emails and calendar to see if any events are happening.
After I review my to do list and work through the urgent jobs.
After completing my to do list I update my line manager; depending on what the task at hand is I may have to correspond with various people in the team/ other colleagues based out of London via Skype or Skype conference calls.

Management are supportive with work load and try to share it out evenly.
you have the option to work from home when sick or have an appointment which is good; you can have minimal sick record as many things are done on the laptop or Skype.

The team normally goes out for lunch together which helps team building.
Pros
medical benefits, travel expenses, opportunity to work abroad as its an international company.
Cons
Projects may come to a hault instantly with no warning, Too many projects at one time, Things are not prioritised when theres too many things happening, Sending last minute invites for courses due to last minute preperation.

Very productive and client focused
Programme Manager (Former Employee) –  London9 September 2016
Very client focused with daily conference calls reporting on current status on specific projects, learnt to be patiant with stakeholders and to maintain a professional stance no matter what. Very team focused and everyone ready to help each other. Hardest part of the job was unrealistic timeframes given by the stakeholders with out obtaining the full picture.

Flexibility

Long hours

Work elsewhere...
UK Head of Resource Planning (Former Employee) –  London15 August 2016
A small minded organisation with stale leaders who are only interested in utilization of staff, trust me...poor benefits with the expectation you work long hours and give up your personal life for the cause...many more jobs to go here as further sites / offices are closed over the next few years...in fact, they are moving most roles over seas to enable cheap resources, so UK wages will be further reduced over time... that is the ARCADIS way...
Pros
Struggling to think here...
Cons
Poor Direction & Leadership...
