Great role for hospitality as very few late nights, over time available when needed. The staff were all very friendly and the management were quite flexible with requests. Pay rate is pretty standard could be better.
Pros
Good work life balance, varied role

Top level management, more of them than staff on the ground, never see them all work from home and leave their front line staff to struggle. Over worked short staffed. No promotion prospects jobs go to people they know from other places and bring in. Real shame as they have some loyal hard working staff who work there but get overlooked

Avoid this company The Management is an absolute disgrace they have more Managers than Actual Working staff not one off them I have met have any idea how to run the place they don't know anything from entitlements too pricing it's truly embarrassing. Pay is forever wrong constantly under staffed i am currently a Kitchen Supervisor for them i am supposed to have me plus 5 Kitchen porters too cover 14 shifts i have myself and effectively 1 plus a 17 year old so please avoid at all cost

Used to work within a subsidiary of Aramark Northern Europe that had a certain amount of autonomy and independence from the Global Organisation. This all changed in 2017/8 with the amalgamation into Aramark Northern Europe - the majority of staff that made this subsidiary so successful were removed and replaced with detrimental results. Not so successful and unable to keep hold of staff due to poor pay and working conditions.

You would think a global company such as Aramark would know the basics, look after your team and your team will succeed. However this is so far away from their reality. The area manager, well, id like to meet the person that gave her the job, absolutely no idea of how to speak to people let alone manage them. There were times I was embarrassed to be representing this company in front of the client, who were also global organisations.
Pros
My team
Cons
Management and pay

The worst company I have work for ever the boss has not got a clue what she is doing. Never got paid right and I work there for two years. If something goes wrong they blame the chef manager. They don't know how to treat people and they work in the catering business very rude. The chef managers are overworked and stressed out by head office and managers are not good no training involved in anything you have to guess what to do. Stay clear just awful
Pros
Good catering staff
Cons
Area managers not good

I worked for another firm for 31 years when aramark came in they changed everything I was a mess hand. The management that came in wanted their own staff so they did everything they could to get rid off original staff like myself. Getting staff to do extra hours and more work with short staffed off people. Always they where right management never listened to staff. Gradually original staff left 1 by 1 they got their own staff in they where treated better than original staff so I ended up leaving after 31 years with no thanks from aramark management. Diffently would not recommend people looking a job with this firm.
Pros
Had to pay 50p for lunch that was getting thrown out!!!
Cons
Nothing
