Customer Service Advisor / Driving (Current Employee) –  Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3 Station9 January 2019
I have worked here a long time, the work is straight forward and easy for me. The workplace has been good and steady over the years. Uniform provided. I am generally just looking for a change in job after being here for such a long time. The company has always accommodated me. Sometimes they have regular overtime and other times they have none at all which can be a pain when you become used to a certain amount of money. However with overtime the pay seems to always be messed up and having to correct it again and a again and keep records of all hours I do all the time is a chore.

Absolute waste of time
Customer Service Assistant (Former Employee) –  Southampton, Hampshire17 February 2019
Worked at Southampton in the beginning I thought yes it’ll be alright for the time being but down the line I started realising it became dead end repeating the same jobs each shift, double standards, get told do overtime, arrogant attitude from a manager, asked for help and got nothing but either do it or not wouldn’t recommend working for them as they say they care but in reality they don’t honestly there had been a few people leave in a short amount of time and they can’t figure out why

Civil Enforcement Officer (Former Employee) –  West Midlands11 February 2019
The issue with this company is

•NO SUPPORT ~ even when have been assaulted on street, the company won’t help with downloading footage for the police. Also with any changes in relation to hours etc they won’t support anyone and say it can’t be done.

•FAVOURITISM ~ They have “favourite” ataff who will always be put on “Mobile beats” and never on foot which is unfair to everyone else who is on foot walking 10 miles a day.

•CORRUPT MANAGEMENT~ The management team stick together and will find ways to make you feel intimidated and will bully you into doing things. - any issues etc or incidents the management will always put the blaim on you! Also you never see management As most of the Time they have gone home between 16:30-18:00.... ~ plus management never work Sundays but expect CEO’s to!

•STAFF TURNOVER ~ The staff turnover is HIGH!! Since I’ve been there there has been over 100 staff been and gone~. The management need to treat the staff better to make them want to stay with the company. But we CEO’s are “JUST A NUMBER” as stated by management.

•NO BACKUP ~ if any incidents happen etc and CEO’s are confronted or assaulted. If radio base all they say is “Walk Away”. But In most instances that’s impossible. The management don’t send any back up to help disguise the situation - aswell as management don’t come out on street to support the CEO’s when they have been assaulted. ~ most of the time it’s impossible to contact control as no one ever answers. Also management say they are contactable but yet there mobile phone is always turned off. And don’t even
  more... answer the office phone.

•WEEKENDS~ management will only work up till 2~3pm (SAT IN OFFICE) on Saturdays and not work Sundays but expect CEO’s to work until 10:30pm and work Sundays! They just get a CEO to take the responsibility of all CEO’s

•ADVICE~ make sure you join a union if your unfortunate to work with this company!

Do not work here - Gloucester contract
Civil Enforcement Officer (Former Employee) –  Gloucestershire15 January 2019
Treated very badly by rude management who are constantly checking on you. They don't listen to anything you say, and lie about what is going on. Morale is non existent. Widely believed that when contract runs out in 2020 that it won't be renewed with this company. Never see management for good reasons, they deny that anything is wrong, even minutes after you tell them, they deny that they were informed. Turnover of staff is shocking, don't make long term plans to stay. If you do leave, leave on payday, they will stop your wages, so you have to threaten them with your legal rights to be paid.

Easy job
Ceo (Former Employee) –  Wolverhampton, West Midlands27 December 2018
Easy job but you work 9 and half hours with one hour unpaid break. Management is a disgrace. Uniform never supplied as they hope you buy your own and they can save money.
No one to complain too as they all stick together. Employees you have either good or bad ones. Any attitude is tolerated by management as they are always understaffed. The way the company is run is an embarrassment. Health and safety is bottom of there concerns. Most items which are there to protect you are faulty. Shame because the job itself isn't a problem. Hours aren't the best as you start just after 9 and finish just be for 7 so your day is gone by the time you get home.
I wouldn't recommend this work place to anyone. Not even if you're desperate.
No privacy within the work place. No one makes complaints because management will make it awkward for them. Just an awful environment to work in.

Easy job

Work place and management awful

Parking steward (Current Employee) –  Wembley, Greater London21 November 2018
The colleagues look after you and they explain everything in the briefing before every shift what the emergency protocols are and the safety procedures. What everyone's task is and what should occur if the day doesn't go according to plan.

Terrible.
Civil Enforcement Officer (Former Employee) –  Lincolnshire17 October 2018
Honestly the most ridiculous company to work for. Well the Lincoln one anyway. Things that should be confidential are announced to everyone and make you look stupid. They speak to you and treat you like children. The management are not trained enough to be managers and go mental at you instead of speaking to you professionally. Your health and safety is their last concern. Everything is turned around to be your fault. They will find anyway NOT to pay you. Lied about bonus scheme. Managers have their favourites and purposely send people places they don’t like just to annoy you. If you’re in danger half the time your video badge is probably not working and noone answers the office phone half the time. You get paid 5p above minimum wage to do all the work while the managers sit on their bums in the office pretending to do things. The company would be nothing without CEOs and they need to realise that. If you do decide to give them a chance, i recommend joining a union.

Civil Enforcement Officer (Former Employee) –  Lincoln16 October 2018
CEO's have a bad enough reputation without being treated badly by management and the council. I would have thought support from them would help with retention but turn over is rapid and very few last more than a month.

Terrible company
CEO (Former Employee) –  Lincoln, Lincolnshire4 November 2018
Worked for four months for this company but became pretty clear that they were only interested in the CEO’s getting tickets (although there are no targets)
You walked on average 10-15 miles a day and even when you were in agony with blisters or other walking related pains they were pretty annoyed if you came back to base early. You got 5 minutes in the morning to sort out your equipment which didn’t always work but there were never any spares to hand, they also were not happy if you got back from your out post early although you had no way of knowing what traffic you’d get caught up in.
They also didn’t have any provisions for you to go anywhere for your breaks / lunch, you’d spend most of your shift looking for toilets or somewhere dry and warm to have your lunch so you can see why the staff turnover is so high.
I’d steer clear of this job unless you like being cold and wet with inappropriate uniform
Pros
Free exercise
Cons
Long day, no back up from management, expected to have your lunch where you can find a dry spot, lack of access to toilets, dropped off in a town with no back up, the list is pretty endless

Don’t ever work here
Driver, parker, Admin, skivvy (Former Employee) –  Leeds, West Yorkshire Park2travel28 September 2018
Where do I start! APCOA are a car park management company allegedly, I say allegedly as they haven’t got a clue! I have worked in car parks previously & have never experienced something so bad as I did whilst working for this company!
1 Don’t dare to share any ideas
2 Don’t expect your wages to be correct
3 Prepare to be “Dumbed down”
4 Dont show commitment
5 You must “Always” be a YES man
6 Refuse overtime & you’ll be ostracised
7 Never let on that you have a brain cell
8 Always say”how high”when asked to jump
I could go on & on but in all seriousness if you have any sort of intelligence I’d give this firm a VERY wide berth!!
Pros
None
Cons
Wages always wrong, Management, morale, lack of training. Could go ON & ON

Terrible. Morale has decreased significantly over last 18 months. The last CM robbed the petty cash, and the current one robs the staff. If owed wages, they promise in the next pay, and don't deliver. Even arranged to have their mistakes to be paid immediately and they refuse. CEO's are treated poorly. The client knows absolutely nothing about parking and constantly make costly mistakes. If you choose to work here, don;t leave before payday, because they regularly stop the wages and CEO's have to complain to get what is rightfully theirs.

Not a company you can trust. They will ask you to do everything including making the manager his cups of coffee, clean bird facies without ppe, work overtime for basic rate (minimum wage). Best to avoid
Pros
There are none
Cons
Bad hours, agressive customers, this company does nothing for you, you will be asked to put your hand down the toilet to clean it, i wish i was lying.

Job itself not bad, magement is a joke
Civil Enforcement Officer (Former Employee) –  Boston, Lincolnshire20 August 2018
I worked at Apcoa for 2 years, in that time 90% of the staff quit. The job itself is not bad, the magement on the other hand is a joke. They force you to work up to 9:30 at night on your own, they have a radio system in place to keep in contact with base which is pointless as they never have a staff member on the end to answer, you could be laid on the floor after being assaulted trying to radio through to base to get no answer. The contract manger is from a sales background, so as you can guess it’s all about money, they say ticket numbers don’t count, but they do, if you don’t come back with a good amount they will question you about this. They don’t provide you with a place to rest for your lunch hour, you can be walking around all shift in the rain and just for your lunch hour you want somewhere to sit down and eat but you have to find a bench to sit down and eat in the rain as you will be working away from your home town and get dropped off so you don’t even have a vehicle. I could keep going on how bad this company is but don’t want to waste anymore time on this company. AVOID!

Magement

Deputy Team Manager (Former Employee) –  Walsall29 June 2018
A bunch of friendly staff that is not given support from management. The work itself is rewarding in educating the public and feedback from them once explanations are given. A service that is needed but needs fair management.
