It helps to research the faculty/department you are applying for and have some knowledge of what they do. Nowadays, you do need a degree to work there, even for administration

My average day is 7 hours. If overtime is needed that can go up to about 8.5 dependent on time of year.

Some roles do require weekend work for instance at open days, but you can claim this time back.
