We are the UK's leading dementia charity. Every day, we work tirelessly to find new treatments and, ultimately, a cure for dementia. We provide expert information, training, and support services to all those who need our help. And we are creating a more dementia-friendly society so people with the condition can live without fear and prejudice.
In communities across England, Wales and Northern Ireland over 2600 employees and 10,000 volunteers provide essential local support to people with dementia and their families and friends, and we reach out to even more people through our online and telephone based services.
Through our training, publishing and consultancy activities we work to improve the quality of care available to people with dementia, and each year thousands of people turn to Society publications, factsheets or the website to inform their choices and help them deal with the challenges they face.
Through our campaigning, policy and external communication work we ensure that the voices of people with dementia are heard by policy makers, the media and individuals across the wider society.
