Working for this company for over 5 years was a very Eye opening experience. Made me realise how corrupt and evil people can be. My ability to work hard and try and get everything right was taken advantage of and I was made to feel worthless. Anxiety attacks everyday because managers thrives off seeing me panic and loved pointing out my mistakes so no one would focus on their own, I experienced this in 5 different stores. I was alienated, manipulatited and left to feel worthless. Several attempts were made to provoke me and countless intimidation tactics to get a reaction from me. There was even a time when my area manager basically told me not to take my meds for anxiety (which was caused by working for aldi) as my job would be on the line and the 3 month monitoring fell in line with the 3 months side affects of the medication. I was given 3 man jobs to do by myself in limited time and when not done I was threatened and intimidated. At the time I didn’t know this but after moving job I can now see what work should be like and how enjoyable it is. Not only did you leave me with burning hole sensation in my chest which will stay with me for a long time but you made me realise I wasn’t going crazy after all. Your business model and how you treat people is sickening and I’m ashamed of myself for putting my blood, sweat and tears into helping run your shops. Your standards are awful and if people knew what happened behind close doors then your business would collapse to the ground.
You’ve left not only me but many other people traumatised, it really makes me sick thinking about how all these individuals got away with what they did. No doubt they’ll be repercussions to this, you already manipulated my final wage and left me skint over Xmas. Disgusting!
I advice anyone who shops here...don’t, they leave meat on the shop floor for hours before you buy it.
If you work for aldi and you’re depressed, anxious and feel like you’ve gotta prove yourself, don’t... find a new job, only then will you realise the ride they took you on and I promise you won’t look back. Aldi, it’s been a pleasure writing this and I really do hope your business model burns to the ground.

Treat contract driver's fairly. Where I work one contract company gets treated like royalty and we are treated like dirt. The other company do give out back handers to manager's though. Could be a great company but the top brass need to pay more attention at lower levels.

Give store assistants more hours. My husband is contracted for 20 hours and usually gets about 23 hours which is not enough. He is going to have to leave to get a full time job soon.
