Can be hard, one day you will do a 6am start, the next could be close finishing at 10.30pm then you could do a twilight shift which finishes at 1am and have that day off and be in the next so it may look on the rota you have a day off between shifts but you don't, this makes you very tired.

Most contracts are 30 hours but you can do more or less. Some shifts can be very long and some can be as little as 4 hours. Longest shift you should do is 10 hours. Rotas vary week to week but it all should work out to your contracted hours. Only exception is christmas month.
Rubbish for any form of family life, store managers friends will always get better shifts.

The working hours were fine when i started doing 48+ hours a week which then gradually went down to 18 hours a week this is the main reason for me leaving this job.
