Senior Relationship Manager (Former Employee) –  London31 January 2019
The company is young in it's approach and you always have room to grow, develop. Your ideas are heard and it is easy to see results for work done and you will be rewarded for it.

Mergermarket was a great company to work for.
The people were friendly and professional. I have learned a lot whilst there and would recommend it as a company.

Nice spirit and nice company. Very active and you are at the heart of information. Good to learn about the market and to build contacts. However jobs themselves are often basic (data)
Pros
Roof terrace, at the heart of financial information, good to learn about transactions and markets
Cons
salary inferior to any other graduate's role

It is a fun place to work but management can be short-sighted.

Sometimes there is a sense of spinning one's wheels - working, working, working but not learning that much.

dull, unfriendly place to work
content editor (Former Employee) –  London3 November 2016
The hardest part of the job is tolerating the culture. There were tons of meetings about nothing in particular. It was a case of hold your nose and think about the money.
Cons
unfriendly working environment

Personal View MM Group
Head of Sales - UK Northern Europe (Current Employee) –  Global HQ, London, Strand9 June 2014
A super company - has been growing exponentially since I came on board. The company has seen venture capital ownership, a FTSE 100 company ownership and then most recently was acquired by a well-known, highly impressive private equity fund.
Pros
the culture allows fee-earners/sales to be autonomous, but you are highly visible if you are not producing.
Cons
very flat management structure and management tends to stay very long periods, meaning talented people in the ranks rarely get a chance to progress into higher management roles

Bad place to work, for motivated individuals
Senior M&A Analyst (Current Employee) –  London, ENG27 March 2014
BAD BAD company to work for....
Management Bad...
Career progression non existence...
Salary Increase, 500-1K per year
Training non existence.
If you have no experience and need something on your CV than accept the job, if you have experience look elsewhere.
Pros
Day ends at 6 o'clock
Cons
Everything
