FTC - 6 Months - Full Time - 36.5 hours - 5 days

Base: Churchill House - Stoke

Salary £20647.38 - £22941.54

Key Purpose of Post

To provide an In Work support service to those clients in employment through a variety of options including regular telephone contact, face to face visits, mentoring, job coaching and in depth support in order to progress clients in to sustained or open employment and maximise workplace retention.

Technical competency (qualifications and training)

Experience

Relevant previous experience in the recruitment/ employment/ training/ placement field (E)

Experience working with disabled/disadvantaged young people/adults (E)

Skills and Attributes

Ability to cope with a variety of challenging situations in a calm and sensitive manner (E)

Ability to encourage, persuade and motivate at all levels (E)

Flexibility to cope with the varying demands of the role and achieve the desired results (E)

Ability to problem solve and respond appropriately to a variety of situations (E)

Ability to manage and support a caseload and achieve targets for progression (E)

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team (E)

Good organisational skills (E)

IT knowledge or a willingness and aptitude to learn (E)

Good understanding of the local and national labour market and employment issues (D)

Current knowledge of welfare benefits and issues (D)

Knowledge of specialist employment areas such as Employment Law, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, etc (D)

Knowledge of local area (D)
