Applications are invited for the post of Customer Service and Building Manager within the Special Collections division of the JRUL, which is open ended.

The Special Collections division of the John Rylands Library, Deansgate is housed in a magnificent neo-gothic building in Manchester's city centre and is a major visitor attraction as well as a research library of world renown.

You will develop and manage a high quality and flexible customer service for Special Collections whilst ensuring the effective and efficient management and maintenance of the John Rylands Library for customers and staff.

You will have a degree, a professional qualification in librarianship or Archive Management or sufficient relevant experience at a comparable level. Experience of staff management, delivery of customer service and an understanding of the needs of visitors to cultural attractions are essential requirements of this position.
