The University of Sussex wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, competent and organised teacher to a 0.5 Teaching Fellowship in Philosophy, for 9 months. The successful applicant will convene and teach one first year Undergraduate module in introductory analytic Philosophy (Science and Reason); one second year Undergraduate module in Philosophy of Mind (Philosophy of Mind); and one MA module in analytic Philosophy of Language (Language and Truth).

The successful applicant will have some teaching experience and possess, or be about to receive, a PhD in some central area of analytic philosophy. She/he will be demonstrably competent to teach across the specified modules. Candidates working in Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Science, or Philosophy of Language are especially encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will join a friendly, intellectually invigorating department, committed to dialogue across philosophical traditions. We seek a colleague who will contribute to the life of the department and enjoy interacting with our highly engaged and intellectually able student community.
