AUDIT ASSISTANT MANAGER (Junior Manager)
My client, with their office located in Azerbaijan is looking for experienced accounting professionals to fill position of Assistant Manager who will form part of audit team to provide a high quality audit & assurance services to the firms clients.
Requirements:
ACCA/ACA/CA/CPA or internationally recognised equivalent
Bachelor degree in economy, law or social science
Industry knowledge and experience (financial services and mining/energy is preferred)
Ability to prepare a full set of high quality IFRS financial statements
Proven experience of systems/controls testing and development of audit procedures
People supervision and project management experiences
Fluent English, both written and oral - Russian is an advantage
Candidate should be open minded and self-motivated individuals
Demonstrating strong technical knowledge, project management and client care skills
Have 5 years of professional experience with TOP 5 accounting firms
Be able to design and modify audit programs and procedures to assist with development of audit methodology
Produce an efficient staff-planning and prepare complete audit work product, including preparation of financial statements, within a given time frames
Additionally, a candidate should have strong communication skills and be able to contribute to the team in achieving mutual objectives
Responsibilities:
Act as a major point of contact within the firm for the client together with the Partner. This includes responding quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided and maintaining regular contact with clients;
Plan and schedule audit programs and ensure assignments are staffed with the appropriate mix of knowledge and skills required;
Perform formal risk assessment and design audit procedures;
Ensure that the firms risk management and quality control procedures are applied to at all times;

Produce work for your partner review clearly highlighting issues and providing potential solutions to issues identified;
Be responsible for meeting deadlines and make sure that complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales;
Identify and understand client needs, suggest potential solutions on technical matters and communicate and agree client needs and potential solutions with your partner.
Plan, orginise, supervise and review the work of audit team on a clients premises and in the office;
Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements;
Produce and an accurate and tidy working papers and make sure of a proper filing of audit files and documents;
Work as part of management team with other Audit Managers within the business group (e.g. resource planning, merit rate meetings and efficiency gains);
Develop and motivate junior audit staff and ensure that job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines;
