HR Generalist (with strong Employee Relations)

Our client is a leading international children’s charity working in over 50 developing countries world-wide. They are currently seeking an experienced HR generalist with exceptional ER to provide maternity cover. The post holder is responsible for supporting and guiding managers on operational HR issues and ensuring compliance. There is some exposure to international HR issues and the post holder has regular contact with the global HR partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
You will be a solid operational HR specialist with good knowledge of UK employment legislation, payroll & tax processes and generalist HR issues. If you have worked within the not-for-profit sector previously that would be an advantage as would a second language of French or Spanish.
- Providing generalist HR advice.
- Management of employee-relations issues at head office and involvement in global cases.
- Overseeing Health Safety and Well Being implementation locally and supporting the global roll outs.
- Management of two direct reports
Your personal style will be that of a negotiator with strong influencing skills, the ability to make consistent sound judgements and think creatively when resolving problems. Above all you will be culturally sensitive and aware of your impact within a people orientated environment.
