As the Pathology Department Administrator, your main responsibilities will include typing of complex histopathology and other pathology reports, answering routine enquiries from laboratory service users, dealing with customer requests, together with routine administrative support for the Pathology Department.
Ideally, you will have a keen attention to detail, be highly computer literate and have some knowledge or experience of medical terminology. Previous experience in a pathology laboratory or within a healthcare environment would be particularly advantageous. Equally important are good communication skills, ability to work on your own initiative and the development of positive relationships with hospital staff.
