o Manage defects ensuring they are correctly recorded, reported, followed up, and retested for effective resolution.
o Contribute towards the development and implementation of quality improvement plans for the NM Technical environment.
o Contribute to the success of the scrum team or wider QA team even if a particular task might exceed the requirements of a strict role definition.
o Take responsibility for personal development in the role, keeping abreast with technologies, test tools, test techniques.
o Mentoring and educating the wider technology team.

o Essential: Experience with test automation frameworks e.g. keyword driven, data driven, hybrid.
o Essential: Knowledge of Scrum and/or agile development techniques, ideally in a test driven development environment.
o Essential: Understanding of large-scale websites architecture and infrastructure.
o Essential: Experience of working with relational databases and SQL.
o Essential: Experience with large scale search engine technologies, Marklogic strongly desired.

Qualifications/Skills:
Essential
o Graduate Calibre with Computer Science or equivalent degree.
o Software testing training and certification in test automation.
o Advanced level test automation skills for testing web components and applications in a fast paced agile development.
o Software development skills in Java/ Linux environment especially web services and XML processing
o Strong skills in scripting (JavaScript, VBScript, shell scripting) in a technical test environment.
o Ability to manage junior QA/test engineers in Test Automation tasks.
Experience with common operating systems, especially Linux and Windows.

Desirable
o Experience working with Apache & Tomcat, xml services.
