Job Purpose
To provide the accurate and timely monitoring of designated contracts performance in relation to financial and contractual matters, in accordance with policies and procedures.
Health, Safety & Environment
Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to, the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
Implement the relevant requirements of the SMS and EMS within their area of responsibility
Ensure that their staff receive or have access to copies of the Environmental Policy and are kept informed of environmental developments and issues
Ensure that the Environmental Policy and appropriate parts of Environmental Procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce, particularly to those engaged on activities that have been identified as likely to have a significant environmental impact
Principle Duties & Accountabilities
Knowledge & understanding of obligations under the Contract
Experience of tender build up
Agree and implement commercial strategy in consultation with Commercial Manager/Construction Manager/Project Manager
Forecast Value & maximise Value Recovery
Identify & implement cash strategy
Administer contract records
Interact with Buyer/Project Manager to maximise Commercial recovery
Undertake procurement when necessary
Manage Subcontract order documentation & accounts
Produce CVR monthly
Adhere to management plan procedures
Measurement and valuation
Production of Loss and Expense claims
Production of Final Accounts
Ensure that the supply chain is paid in accordance with the contract
Knowledge and understanding of subcontracts e.g. DOM1, DOM2
Maximise value recovery Prepare submissions for dispute resolution
Key Performance Indicators
Ensure designated contracts have a budget agreed by the Managing Surveyor
Responsible for the financial and contractual tracking of each contract
To prepare accurate monthly reports in accordance with the accounts timetable.
Ensure contracts are managed in accordance with financial processes and procedures
Responsible for all contractual correspondence on each contract
Develop junior members of the commercial team
Key Working Relationships
Supervising responsibility for commercial staff
