Childminders Assistant to work along side me and other assistants from my home in my busy childminding business.

I need someone who:
  • Is 17yrs + for insurance purposes (so that you can be include in the numbers)
  • Is reliable, patient and has a positive attitude,
  • Loves working with children,
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Has verifiable references,
  • Flexible.
  • Will be required to have a DBS check.
Duties will include assisting with mealtimes, outings, activities and mainly playing with the children!

You will also be required to complete an online safeguarding course, a medical form and a criminal record form.

ChildsPlay Training is a specialist training provider in the Childcare and Playwork sector (including Team Leading and Management), offering Apprenticeships across Sussex at Intermediate (Level 2) and Advanced (Level 3). The company holds approved centre status with CACHE and ILM. When you are successful in your application for a vacancy with one of our employer clients, our staff are committed to ensuring that you achieve your qualifications at the end of a challenging, but rewarding, training programme which has been delivered by tutors and assessors, who are knowledgeable and experienced.

Part of your training will take place ‘away from work’, so that you meet with other Apprentices and share your learning together. You’ll be visited at work each month by the Apprentice Support Officer – as well as seeing tutors and assessors regularly, too. In your workplace, we ask your employer to appoint a Mentor to oversee your training on a daily basis, so there will be lots of support on hand to ensure that you maintain your progress throughout your Apprenticeship.

From 1st October 2013 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is per hour. From 1st October 2014 the rate will rise to . This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training
