Gas Turbine Services (GTS) comprises more than 20 wholly owned businesses and joint ventures. These businesses include engine overhaul shops, OSyS (an IT and consultancy services solutions provider) and Global Repair Services, amongst others, and between them they currently have a combined turnover of circa £3bn. The East Kilbride Aero Repair and Overhaul business supports an international list of airlines and has an annual turnover of circa £300m.
As the Finance Controller you will be accountable for contributing positively to the ongoing profitable development of the business, whilst maintaining strong financial controls and standards for the business. You will provide clear, fast, financial advice and guidance to the management team, coupled with the ability to provide effective management accounting and financial information services. You will continue the established policy of cascading information to the entire business team and improve the departmental efficiency and effectiveness by implementing the Journey to Process Excellence.
Qualifications and experience
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with extensive experience to practice broad financial management skills in a fast-moving environment, covering both operational and customer focused responsibilities. You will demonstrate strong accounting and analytical skills, as well as experience in leading a team.
You will demonstrate a clear ability to fit into the East Kilbride management team and to contribute personally to improving business performance.
