The Business Systems - Analyst (Procurement and Logistics) is responsible for consulting with the business to understand its business goals and objectives, in order to define (and/or redefine) business requirements for optimized business processes, in particular the processes around Procurement and Logistics. The Business Systems - Analyst acts as an intermediary between the business and the technical teams to collect clarify and translate business requirements into appropriate documentation and design documents, which can be used to develop applications, reports, workflows and solutions. This also includes the active involvement in all phases of the IT Projects and the requirement to work closely with internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are met within defined timelines. As part of this role the Business Systems - Analyst is also requested to participate in the preparation of test scenarios and training plans, as well as conducting testing on new development, prior to User Acceptance Testing.
o Capture, analyze and document business requirements and business processes, using standard business modelling methodology and tools
o Support business by investigating operations-related problems/inquiries and recommend, facilitate and coordinate solutions
o Facilitate workshops and Super User Meetings with business representatives on a regular (monthly) basis
o Prepare testing and training strategy for particular projects
o Act as requirements project lead for medium to large projects, directing and coordinating requirements, project staff and activities and ensure that committed project timelines are met
o Inform and engage with other team members about current projects and discussions with business
o Maintain updated documentation on applications and processes
o Assist in IT procurement activities. In includes the development of Requests for Proposals (RfPs), execution of these activities in conjunction with the procuring manager.
Qualifications, skills and Experience
Graduate Calibre or equivalent
Explicit business knowledge in the Procurement and Logistics area in the IT Industry
Good knowledge about E-Procurement and E-Commerce environments, and ideally experienced in the implementation of an E-Procurement Platform. Including experience of conducting Procurement activities.
Previous experience as business analyst or a similar role
Good experience with SAP, and SAP Rollouts would be of advantage
Excellent communication skills (verbal, email/written)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Language skills - English (fluently). French and German will be of benefit.
Ability to work problem/solution oriented and focused
Strong interpersonal skills. The ability to interact across teams and manage relationships and expectation is essential.
Effectively manage multiple activities and ability to prioritize based on complexity and business relevance.
Experienced and skilled user of MS Office tools, e.g. Word, PowerPoint and Excel
