Our client is an independent Fire & Security Company specialising in the provision of high quality services to meet the demand of a wide range of clients. Their services range from supply, Install and maintenance including fault finding. They deal with all types of alarm systems CCTV, Access Control and Emergency Lighting. Due to further growth they are currently recruiting for a Fire and Security Engineer based in London or the Home Counties.
The Role
The purpose and remit of the Fire and Security Engineer role:-
Responsible for carrying out fire and security service, repair and installation work in and around the London / Home Counties area
Provide a courteous and professional approach to external and internal clients
Service and maintain all fire detection, access control, door entry, intruder alarm and CCTV systems to the required standards and regulations
Experience in the servicing and maintaining of fire detection, access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems to the applicable British and European Standards
Knowledge also of all relevant BAFE/NSI codes of practice
Computer literate
The Candidate
The Fire and Security Engineer experience and qualifications:-
Previous experience installing and/or servicing fire and security systems is essential
Able to demonstrate a comprehensive level of fault finding skills
Ability to fault find and resolve issues in a logical manner
To have good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and complete service call-out documentation
Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues and customers
Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
Good organisational and time management skills and have strong attention to detail
Good customer facing skills
