We’re looking for an Optical Assistant to work as part of a team to deliver total satisfaction to our customers. You’ll work in every aspect of the store from retail to manufacturing, which provides variety in every working day. You’ll have a passion for helping people and providing the best possible service you can. You’ll make sure our customers are welcomed into the store whilst caring for them every step along the way, whether that be taking them through their initial examination or the manufacture of their high quality eyewear. We want you to make our customers smile and leave the store feeling delighted with the service they have received.
If you haven’t already guessed our Optical Assistants are in a front-line role so all eyes will be on you, you’ll have a natural talent for building rapport making our customers feel welcome and relaxed. In return you’ll find a wide range of training opportunities to develop your career.
• Be educated to GCSE grade C and above including English and Maths
• Have basic IT skills
• Have previous retail and/or customer service experience
• Have effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Have previous experience in optics either retail or manufacturing
You’ll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with good customer service. Team work is a big part of our culture so the ability to work well with other people is essential. You’ll also need to be enthusiastic and have a willingness to learn.
