Longdon Hall School opened in September 2011 as a new SEBD
co-educational day school set on the edge of Cannock Chase in the picturesque village of Longdon, near Rugeley, in Staffordshire.
This independent, therapeutic, learning centre provides day education support for boys and girls aged from 7 up to 18, including children in care and was recently judged as 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted.
We are currently expanding our 'outstanding' team and are recruiting for the following vacancy:
We require an Instructor or Teaching Assistant, with relevant qualifications and experience, to support access to learning for students and provide general support to the class teacher and other education staff in the management of pupils and the learning environment.
Work may sometimes be carried out outside the main teaching area - this may include off site locations including college settings. The successful candidate would also be expected to take opportunities to lead parts of vocational based sessions (Instructor role) with a small number of students or to plan and lead parts of lessons within the classroom setting (TA role).
The ability to contribute to the development of our 'Outstanding' school is essential and we believe that energy, passion and a commitment to high standards are key characteristics required. We are looking for a special individual who is able to help re engage the young people that we serve. This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills and experience in a challenging, motivating and highly rewarding environment.
