Tate Catering is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tate. Our activities vary from providing a restorative cup of tea to a weary visitor, right the way through to catering for special events being held by Tate’s corporate sponsors. Our aim is to be the market-leading caterer within the arts and to consistently provide outstanding food, drink and service at the four Tate sites and the other sites within our business.
The purpose of this role is to offer a friendly and courteous service to all visitors to our retail areas including the Espresso Bar, Members Room, Kiosks and even our Staff Cafe. Tate Catering has high standards so you will be someone who takes pride in their work and upholds high standards of food presentation and service.
This can be a physically demanding role as part of your responsibility will be ensuring the shelves are fully stocked so that our customers have a variety of food and drink options to choose from whilst also keeping the outlets clean and tidy at all times.
As you would expect from Tate Modern, you will be dealing with a diverse range of customers therefore similar experience of communicating effectively in a customer-facing role is essential.

This role is a fixed term zero hours contract until the end September 2013. On average you will be required to work 20 hours a week which will include ALL weekends.
