CDE Global is a progressive and award winning company supplying the Global recycling, quarrying and mining industries with innovative aggregate processing solutions.

CDE are now looking to strengthen our Engineering team with the addition of the following position based in our Cookstown office:

Product Development Design Engineer

Manage product development design projects from concept, design, support build and installation
To produce accurate BOM's, layout and fabrication drawings for projects and manage and liaise with customers and suppliers on design specifics/aesthetics plant requirements
Focus on reducing cost and cycle time on current plant equipment
Co-ordinate with all departments relative to all aspects of design
Co-ordinate with senior designers to support the sales team through preliminary technical specifications, site visits and technical advice on the products/process.
Manage product development projects (both current and new equipment) under supervision using FMEA and other tools.
Liaison with Suppliers to ensure design is per manufacturing capabilities
Co-ordinate and update Senior Designers and Design Supervisor on project status.
Participate in Quality reviews and processes

Follow design processes and procedures to ensure high quality drawings and BOM's are in line with company processes
Ensure drawings are with-in BS standards
Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, profitability and customer satisfaction
Adhere to CDE's HR and HS policies
Develop skills and knowledge to be able to manage and design Projects from initial sales contact through sign off to customer.

Good level of secondary education with high degree of numeracy and literacy
Educated to degree in an Engineering discipline 2.1 or above
Experience in BOM Creation, Draughting, Design for manufacture
Steel Fabrication experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in Design office
Computer literate in Windows based Software Products and proficient with AutoCAD and Solid edge experience
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Good interpersonal skills
The ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally, and through presentations
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
Ability to coordinate with manufacturers
Aptitudes to develop skills to manage design project
Ability to set and meet time-lines
Attentive to detail
Able to work under pressure
Dependable and reliable
Enthusiastic, energetic self-starter able to work on own initiative
Willingness to develop and adapt to new situations
Team Player
Available to work flexible hours
Willingness and ability to travel frequently
Current driving licence and vehicle insured for business use
Clearance to work in EU

Health Safety qualification

Product improvement experience
Product research and development
Proven organizational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise
FMEA experience
Good manufacturing processes awareness
