Social Worker – Looked After Children, Children’s Srevices
Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Initially 3 months with the potential of extension
£20.00/24.00 Per hour

The successful candidate will provide a Social Work service to Looked After Children, Young People and their families, in accordance with legislation and local procedures.

You will be responsible for the assessment and case load allocated by the Team Manager for which you will develop and execute care plans in order to maximise life chances of Looked After Children. You will need to ensure that the service meets the physical, emotional, cultural and religious needs of the Looked After Children and their families.

You will be required to respond to allegations of abuse or neglect of Looked After Children and their families in accordance with area child protection committee procedures and as advised by the Team Manager.

An additional responsibility will be prepare and attend court in accordance with childcare legislation and as directed by the team manager.

The post holder will need to hold a GSCC and recognised professional qualification – minimum CQSW, DipSW or Social Work Degree, and ideally will have had post qualification experience.
