Due to a substantial increase in workload a World class Defence Organisation based in Bristol is currently looking to recruit a RF / Microwave Design Engineer.
Please Note: you must be eligible for SC (Secret Level) Security Clearance.
The contract is on an ongoing basis. The department is looking to recruit somebody on an intermittent basis and is flexible with the number of hours and when they are worked.
The hourly rate is £36 per hour.
RF / Microwave Design Engineer Job Specification: Microwave transceiver design and testing, including:
Development of sub-system requirement documents
Modelling of RF and microwave circuit design
Detailed RF and microwave transceiver design
Planning and performance transceiver testing.
Calculating and applying data link power budgets
Skills and Experience :
Design of microwave circuits including use of suitable tools (e.g. CST, ADS etc.)
Generation of test strategies
Degree qualified in numerate degree.
Electronic system design (e.g. digital processing, PSU design)
Experience of antenna design/specification/testing etc.
Experience of state of the art solid state components
Part of a team to design, manufacture and test successfully a data link system for a guided weapon
