Finance Assistant – Financial Shared Services Centre As a key part of the business operations for Deloitte, our Finance Shared Service Centre in Milton Keynes is responsible for providing nationwide support to the business through the effective and timely management of accounts receivable and accounts payable. The Payments team is part of the Accounts Payable department within the Finance Shared Services Centre dealing with all UK and Swiss vendor and staff payments, the control of all vendor payments by standing order and direct debit and input of bulk journal entries. There are currently two vacancies within the Payments team for a Finance Assistant. The key responsibilities of the first role are the posting of entries from all Swiss bank accounts and the main UK outgoing account on a daily basis, monitoring and preparation of all Swiss standing order schedules ensuring annual approvals are obtained, and investigating and actioning all returned payments into the Swiss and UK bank accounts. The key responsibilities of the second role are the posting of entries from the UK Euro and Dollar bank account on a daily basis, preparing and dispatching any Drivers Jonas Deloitte cheques required in respect of planning cheques, and receiving and inputting of bulk journal entries into SAP including entries to vendor accounts ensuring work timescales and procedures are adhered to. Experience / Qualification Requirements
At least 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above (including Maths and English), or equivalent.
Ideally you will have at least 6 months experience of working within a large finance environment.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail with good communication skills and a good telephone manner.
Ability to communicate effectively with people both internal and external in a diplomatic manner.
Must be able to work under pressure and ensure all deadlines are met.
Able to work at times unsupervised and display initiative.
Able to work as part of a team and contribute in a positive manner to the overall performance of the team.
IT literate in Excel, Word, SAP and Outlook experience preferred but not essential.
