JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Touring/Park Warden

PLACE OF WORK: Yarwell Mill Caravan and Camping Park

PURPOSE OF ROLE: To organise the operation and upkeep of touring areas and grounds including associated facility buildings.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
To greet and communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

To promote the park and the company at all times with a positive approach.

Dealing effectively and efficiently with customer comments, whilst following company / park guidelines.

To ensure that you complete the company Customer Service Programme and aim to exceed the expectation of the customers.

Health and Safety:
The company operates a Food Safety Policy together with a Health & Safety Policy. These are legal requirements to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of all employees, customers, guests and visitors whilst on company premises.

To ensure that you complete the company Health & Safety training programme and follow the guidelines as set.

To work in a safe manner, with due dilligence towards yourself, colleagues, customers and the general public at all times.

You must report accidents, incidents and hazards regarding Health & Safety to your manager immediately.

To ensure that the fire regulations are adhered to at all times and assist with evacuation procedures, if and when required.

Administration:
It is your responsibility that your timesheet is completed, signed and submitted to your line manager on a monthly basis, to ensure the prompt payment of wages.

You must adhere to the BLM administrative and cash handling procedures, as instructed by your line manager or administration manager, if applicable.

Role Specific:
Report for duty as per duty rota.

To wear cleaned pressed uniform as per the company policy.

To attend all staff training / meetings as required.

To read and work to all notices in your work area.

Be fully aware of pitch locations and their layout.

Be aware of daily booking arrivals and late arrival procedures for guests.

To assist with the check in of camping and touring guests efficiently and direct to their relevant pitch, offering assistance where required and available.

To ensure that the grounds in the touring areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.

To keep touring facility buildings maintained and that the shower blocks are cleaned on a regular basis with any problems being reported to the touring manager / supervisor.

To carry out regular pitch audits to match booking details.

Develop and maintain a rapport with seasonal pitch holders and ensuring that they understand their obligations whilst staying with us.

To deal with customer comments and complaints and ensure they are logged correectly.

To have some knowledge of the local area including attractions available for guests.

If in doubt ask your manager / supervisor.

To assist in park shop as required.

Teamwork:
To communicate with other members of your team, both internally and externally in a professional and courteous manner.

To work together with your fellow team members to produce standards of excellence within your department and aiming to exceed customer expectations.

You may at times be required to assist with duties not directly linked to your job description but commensurate with your position from time to time. Your co-operation will be appreciated but not abused.
